Lienne Forest

When playing british in the Lienne Forest (4v4), what's the best strategy if the british has to cover the forest?

Because in the town they can early setup an MG in a house, and the MG is best in a building because it automatically switch sides and quickly, but in the forest there's only yellow cover and if they are setup in a bunker, they can't switch side. They get ambushed.

And later there are lots of room to place emplacements in the town or the mid field, but none in the forest, because first there's the trouble with clearing trees with explosives to place them, and the field is vastly narrow and full of cover so that enemies easier can get close and destroy them.

And the trees hinders early small vehicles.

Don't waste your time in forest. Forest is only for a good russian or american. Take the City and the river, build bofors and anti tank, mortars, but don't waste time in forest, when u can't buiild anythink and you can easily beein fucked up by mg or short range infarty, or enemy mortars.

    My 2 Cents.

Agreed! But if some how the british had to cover the forest - which by the way some tried to as they ("VR nation") showed on youtube though they deleted it again later and they failed from the beginning in the forest.

If the british had to cover the forest, would the best strategy simply be not to build any emplacements?

Note that the british engineers have the costless explosives ability to remove obstacles in the way for emplacements though it takes quite some time to do that ...
